【摘要】:Thisacidextractionmethodisintendedtoindicatethesolubilityofmetalsfromartmaterialsinaweakacidmedium.Thistestmethodmaybeusefulasoneindicatoroftheamountofmetalthatisreadilyavailableforabsorption.Itisnotmeantasareplacementforinvivotestsofabsorptionofametal.5Maximumlevelsofmetalextractionareseenwiththistestmethodwhenresultsare250ppmorless.Ifresultsaregreaterthan250ppm,theextractantvolumeshouldbeincreasedto100mLorgreatertokeepmetallevelsintheeluateatalevelof5ppmorless.61.1Thistestmethodcoverstheextractionofmetalsfromartmaterialsusinganextractantthatsimulatestheacidpotentialofgastricjuice.ThistestmethodissimilartotheextractionmethodinSpecificationF963,exceptthatitrequiresconductingextractionstepsatbodytemperatureinsteadofatroomtemperature.TheextractionprocedurespecifiedinthistestmethodismorerigorousthanthatnotedinSpecificationF963becausetheprocedurecausestheextractionofalargerquantityofmetal.1.2ThistestmethodisadaptedfromtheEuropeanToySafetyStandard,EN71-3:1994butdiffersfromitinthatasolventextractionstepisnotrequiredforprocessingwaxesoroil-basedproductsandnospecificacceptablemetallevelsarespecified.1.3Therationalforthistestmethodisdiscussedin.1.4Thistestmethodshouldbeusedontheartmaterialasawholeandnotanartmaterialingredient.Testingtheartmaterialaswholewouldbeexpectedtogiveamoreaccurateestimateofsolublemetalthanfromanextrapolationfromtestingingredients.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
